Isophthalic acid (IPA) uses
Isophthalic acid (IPA) is mainly used to produce unsaturated polyester resin, PET copolymer
resin, and alkyd resin, among which unsaturated polyester resin accounts for 38.6%, PET
copolymer resin accounts for 39.9%, alkyd resin accounts for 14.9%, and others account
for 6.6%. In addition, using isophthalic acid as a raw material can also be used to prepare
poly (allyl isophthalate) (DAIP) resin, which is widely used in manufacturing precision,
complex high-temperature resistant insulation components, and impregnated laminated
materials; Preparation of diethyl isophthalate (DEIP) as a special chemicalbook solvent for
the production of toluene diisocyanate; Prepare polybenzimidazole as an adhesive for aluminum
alloys, stainless steel and other metal materials, metal honeycomb structures, polyimide films,
and silicon wafers; Preparation of colorless oily liquid plasticizer diisooctyl phthalate with good compatibility with PVC, nitrocellulose, polystyrene and other resins; Preparation of meta phenylenediamine as a light stabilizer material with UV protection function; The main raw
materials for producing poly (phthaloyl isophthalamide) aramid and other polyaryl polymers,
